Once we have a calculated, reliable and verified final figure for your carbon footprint we provide a balance to your carbon footprint using grant funding and Verified Carbon Credits.

MEASURING
There are direct benefits to organisations from measuring their carbon footprint as they will benefit from lower energy and resource costs, a better understanding of their exposure to the risks of climate change and a demonstration of leadership which will help strengthen their green credentials in an increasingly environmentally conscious marketplace.
Each organisation has a unique and different carbon footprint.That is why One Carbon World and its team of technical experts can now report on over 7000 calculations. Our team will guide you through this process.
One Carbon World will support you to identify which activities in your organisation are responsible for GHG (Green House Gas) emissions being released into the atmosphere.
The GHG Protocol Corporate Standard classifies a company’s GHG emissions into three ‘scopes’. These scopes assist to define the sources of pollutants within each organisation.

REDUCING
After a consultation with our technical experts and receiving all data from you, our carbon auditors will calculate your carbon footprint and this will be sent for independent external validation.
We will send you a complete carbon footprint report which will include recommendations to reduce your carbon footprint.

OFFSETTING
We will offset your carbon footprint through purchasing and retiring carbon credits in the name of your organisation.
The One Carbon World Carbon Neutral International Standard includes up to 100 tons of carbon credits.
You will receive a certificate of the retired carbon credits and one of the One Carbon World Standards.
CARBON OFFSET PROJECTS
The fund only supports carbon offset projects which are both ecologically and socially effective, with clear sustainable development benefits, such as including positive impacts on the well-being of the community hosting the project, strong biodiversity, job creation, and supporting educational programmes.
90% of your verified carbon credits will be retired from reforestation projects in South America. This projects lasts for 100 years, have many environmental & social benefits and is verified by the Rainforest Alliance. The projects are also certified by the FSC (ensuring fair wages etc.) and they have been retired by VERRA who are the World’s largest environmental registry.
10% of carbon credits retired from the United Nations platform. Each project goes through a strict vetting process and is directly overseen by the United Nations. Each project involves a number of stakeholders including the UN, host country national authorities who oversee national implementation, as well as independent auditors. These come from UN Clean Development Mechanism projects and are to support renewable energy projects.
Additionally, One Carbon World will support you to participate in the UN Climate Neutral Now Initiative
Climate Neutral Now is an initiative launched by UN Climate Change in 2015 to encourage organisations, governments and citizens to take action to help achieve a climate neutral world by mid-century, as enshrined in the Paris Agreement.
By completing the three steps above, you will be eligible to apply and we will organise all the documentations on behalf of your organisation.
