The business case for exploring Nature- Based Solutions
Well designed, planned and delivered NbS projects can provide a high impact way for businesses, communities and countries to reduce their emissions through harnessing the natural capital of their land, or investing in that of others, for carbon sequestration.
The UN estimates that high integrity Nature-based solutions projects could compensate for/capture up to 10 gigatonnes of carbon dioxide (GtCO2) per year ( approximately 27% of current global annual emissions) (2023). These projects are key to meeting global climate, biodiversity targets, and the SDGs.

We offer expert manpower (in-kind support) to potential partners to produce initial feasibility studies. If the project holds potential for high integrity, high value carbon credits, we can help you take your project into the market, under clear mutually agreed terms.
One Carbon World insist that all our partnerships are fully transparent about financial and revenue sharing between the partners, land-rights owners, and other stakeholders. Unlike many other carbon credit project developers, we operate as a not-for-profit: after covering our costs we target all of the revenue from carbon credit sales to the communities and landowners involved.
