We at One Carbon World are proud to partner with SailGP, the world’s premier sail racing league, to support their bold vision for climate action in sport. As the world’s first sailing organisation to achieve the Carbon Neutral International Standard, SailGP is redefining what environmental leadership looks like on a global stage and demonstrating that elite sport leagues can implement measurable, science-aligned climate action.

Together, we have rebalanced over 50,000 tonnes of CO₂ from the atmosphere, equivalent to removing more than 10,000 cars from the road. This has been made possible through the strategic targeting of emissions across on-water operations, onshore infrastructure, and engagement with the host cities over the years. From electrifying chase boat fleets to deploying off-grid solar for technical operations, SailGP has dramatically reduced its carbon footprint while rebalancing remaining emissions through our nature-based and renewable energy projects. Our work together has included supporting wind and hydro projects overseen by the UN, which deliver long-term social and environmental impact, including job creation and community resilience.  

Powered by nature, SailGP sets a powerful precedent for climate change mitigation in sport. Through platforms like Race for the Future and SailGP Inspire, the league continues to push boundaries by not only accelerating the adoption of clean energy but also embedding climate action at the core of its global mission.
