Caravella coffee is a Latin America specialty green coffee exporter and importer that responsibly sources from smallholder coffee producers for the past 20 years they've been sourcing and championing great coffee from Latin America's best smallholder farmers, pursuing quality and transparency at every single level.

Carevella supports farmers in their transition towards a sustainable agricultural practices all over Latin America and are aware of the impact that the growth agriculture in the region has on the conservation of its ecosystems in the Galapagos islands in particular.

Episode 4

They're looking to provide producers with better prices to increase their prosperity and started working there in 2016.

They first explored how to open new markets for the coffee growers in the archipelago and developed commercial strategies that highlighted the intricate flavors and specialty quality of the coffee beans.

When they first arrived, they found a community of coffee growers very proud and deeply committed to the conservation of the forest assets, the biodiversity and the natural resources in the island.

The local weather conditions have strongly marked seasons that gave agriculture an opportunity to thrive from volcanic soils with good drainage, natural water filtration mechanisms with decreased methane emissions and due to the distance to the mainland of about a thousand kilometers.
